Art & Design is pleased to award over $85,000 portfolio based scholarships every year. Students majoring in art and design may apply yearly for scholarship support.

Incoming Freshman Scholarships

Art & Design recommends that incoming students who have a portfolio apply for scholarship support. We also encourage eligible students to apply for one of our Incoming Art & Design Diversity Scholarships. Students who participated in Kentucky Governor's School for the Arts (GSA), Kentucky Governor's Scholars Program (GSP), or Kentucky Governor's School for Entrepreneurs (GSE) are also eligible for substantial scholarships through NKU's Kentucky Governor's Scholarships.

Current Student Scholarships

The Art & Design Program in the School of the Arts at Northern Kentucky University is pleased to offer scholarships for students majoring in art and design. Current art and design students may compete yearly for scholarship support. Applicants will be judged on the merits of their artwork, as well as their overall grade point average, participation in visual arts courses, and overall artistic development.
