Fueling a New Workday

NKU is embarking on an exciting, multi-phase journey to implement Workday; a cloud-based system that unifies human resources, financial management, and student information into one platform. NKU identified the need to implement a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system in preparation for the end of the current system, SAP. Starting the project now allows time for the university to fully transition to the new system before support for the current system ends; anticipated end is December 2030.

The Workday initiative will increase operational effectiveness and efficiencies across NKU, realizing present needs and achieving strategic growth for the greater campus community. Review the systems list to see how Workday minimizes the number of systems needed for key functions.

The comprehensive project will be completed in multiple phases. HR and Finance implementation will go live first, in Summer 2026. The Student implementation will follow, with planning beginning in early 2026. Visit the About the Project page details on the timeline phases.

This journey offers the opportunity for innovation, alignment across departments, and establishing best practice processes for the university. The work completed now will have a lasting impact on NKU’s campus. Are you ready to join us in Fueling a New Workday?
